Did your son receive postal PCN or a Notice to Owner? Did your son receive an Order for Recovery sealed by the Traffic Enforcement Center at Northampton Count Court? Followed by a Notice of Enforcement issued by Marston?

I haven't seen any of these!

His name and address on the V5.

Is his address the same as yours?

Yes it is. He lives with us.

Thanks.

His name and address on the V5.

Are they not supposed to provide a breakdown of charges?

Do they not need a warrant? (I'm not in to all that wet ink nonsense)

I thought that Debt Collectors couldn't levy against goods for their own charges? I'm pretty sure that £200 of the £425 will be for turning up on our doorstep. Or am I wrong?

Thanks

Urgent help please!
Received a visit at 7am this morning from a Marstons Debt Collector. Turns out my son went to Brighton last November and got a PCN.
Being a stupid young idiot he has ignored it. In fact he found an unopened letter this morning containing the charge certificate dated January for the sum of £105.
I have been on the council website and tried to pay the PCN and also by telephone but been kicked back on both. (We are unable to accept payment for this PCN. "MARSTON")
No.1 Numpty's car happened to be parked on a neighbour's drive this morning. I think I am right that they can't remove it from another private property without a court order?
Either way the car is going to his work this evening and will be parked up in a secure, locked compound until this is sorted. He will use the company van.
Said debt collector claims that he is one of the nice ones and could have taken the car there and then but will give us 24 hours and come back tomorrow.
Marston's are claiming £425 !!!!!
They have handed a "Notice of intention to remove your belongings" to me. Son was out this morning and working lates all week.
No details on the form other than the amount, their reference number and "who you owe the money to - "Brighton."
Plus his name and telephone number.
I asked for a copy of the warrant and he said he didn't need one as Marstons have written to him several times. (Which I don't believe they have.)
What can I do?
Thanks

(PS - I'm fairly experienced with the Private Parking Tickets and a regular member of the Money Saving Expert parking forums. I haven't dealt with debt collectors or Council PCNs in more than 20 years though)
