Go onto their website and see if there are any council photos. Yours are no good as they don't show the full car position in relation to the carriageway markings. I can't look on theiir website because the PCN is almost unreadable for PCN Number and car registration. If you post them here we can all go and look.

Apologies, edited my post with the reg as realised a lot of glare on the ticket. Also another member helpfully posted the photos.

It's a contravention because wheels are in the other bay.

These can sometimes be challenged on lack of traffic order and some adjudicators consider lack of signage all a factor.

If I was to make an appeal does the clock stop on the ticket? Thereafter once a response is received I have X number of days to still pay the fine at the lowered rate? Just wondering whether this is still the case for tickets or does an appeal aromatically thereafter result in only the option to pay the full price?

Hi,

If you got a PCN ticket on your windscreen and lost it. Just wait for a PCN letter to come through, assuming you are the owner of the vehicle and it is registered at your current address.

Alternatively you can email the council of the borough you were in and ask if there are any actively issued PCNs against your vehicle registration and they will usually respond, I don't believe you would be incriminating yourself in anyway.

I had to do the same a few years ago, i.e. emailed a few council in the areas I drove through asking if there are any active PCNs against my vehicle as I had bought a new vehicle. The seller hadn't done the V5C transfer, had been way over a month, had to call DVLA to get a V5C issued to me and then check if I had incurred any potential penalties active, as vehicle wasn't registered to my name and address during that period so would of been sent to previous owner.

I would say wait for a letter, if you don't receive one within a week or two, you can follow it up if concerned.

Better to follow up such head on if aware rather than dealing with the aftermath of missed fines, accumulated fines etc.

I parked up, got out of the car, I saw a disabled bay in front and also a drop kerb (assumed this was for access i.e. wheelchair or whatnot). I therefore thought I was being considerate so I reversed a bit to allow more room and also so my vehicle isn't potentially accidently damaged. I purchased a ticket via phone app for an hour, went to pick up something from a shop down the road, got back to seeing a ticket on my windscreen. Totally perplexed, checked my parking time, still had 15 minutes remaining, checked that I entered the correct location code, it was correct. Opened up the ticket and felt what an absolute joke. Was slightly relieved that the fine if paid within 14 days is only £45.00 and not the general £80.00/£90.00 you come across? Regardless still a substantial amount for trying to be considerate?

Seems unreasonable, a wheel access disabled driver in front in the disabled bay may require a bit more room. Some cars equipped for wheelchair access via the rear have stickers stating please leave X meters for access.

Hi both,

Apologies for the delayed response, just saw the messages as emails went to Junk!

The PCN number should be: AO06938996.

Just tried and works for me.

Thanks.
OK, but that's not the number on the PCN !  The PCN number is quite clear and shows ...2996

The letter I have in my hand shows AO06938996 not 2996. I can see now that scanned copy shows 2996 for some reason. I am unable to edit the upload but can upload a photo instead again if needed. I used an app called Camscanner not sure whether that messed something up as when taking the photo it was scanning the document or something?

I went to pick up a Facebook purchase on Whitton Avenue West, the road is a long busy road at times. After picking up the purchase, I didn't want to travel to the end of the road to then just drive back down. I also didn't want to be making a U-turn on a busy main road. Malden Avenue being the closest side road from where I parked meant I drove in, performed a U-turn and headed back out to proceed home.

I don't recall seeing any signage i.e. no right turn prohibition. This may have been due to the sign being visually obscured by a tall vehicle? Or I just wasn't as vigilant as I should have been.

Checking Google Maps street view history the sign has been present throughout the years since 2008, with a camera installed in 2018. There is only 1 sign present, don't understand why they couldn't put one on the other side as well would be better situated within a drivers view?

I checked the PCN image and video and it does show me taking a turn. The image and video also have a longitude/latitude (GPS) stamp which correlates to the location mentioned on the PCN. However the image and video is cropped and doesn't show much i.e. the lamp post with the signage? Even though it would be from the rear view point at least to prove it was present at the date and time? Or whether there were any tall vehicles parked nearby obscuring the view of the sign? Without the longitude/latitude on the image/video this could have happened absolutely anywhere.

The last PCN I received was several years back but I specifically recall the video showing the contravention (was a U-turn) and then pointing the camera at the signage i.e. no U-turn within x number of yards.
