Speeding and other criminal offences / Exceed variable speed limit on M1

I was flashed on M1 between J18-19 and immediately checked my speedometer, which confirmed that I was travelling only 49mph on the 50mph limit. So I assumed that it must have been a different car that was flashed. However, I did receive a letter for speeding. See attached proposal.
