Free Traffic Legal Advice

Hi all,

Recieved this earlier in the morning on a quick visit to a shop. I'd like to understand what this code is for exactly and if the warden has been too picky? I didn't feel i parked badly intentionally. The wheels on the pavement side are just behind or touching the line marked for the parking area on the pavement. What grounds do i have to challenge? The car is wide-ish but i do not feel i caused any inconvenience or obstruction to pedestrians.

This occured on High Road Leytonstone E11, in Waltham Forest. The parking sign allows a 15 minute park. See google streetview embeds below
