Please get your head around this:

https://www.ftla.uk/civil-penalty-charge-notices-(councils-tfl-and-so-on)/pcn-brent-kempe-rd-jw-chamberlayne-road-turnaround/msg85160/#msg85160

The PCN is missing vital information for both I believe.

If you pay now without making this representation as advised, then join The Mugged Club, This is your only hope. This is what I do.

Thanks for this reponse however I am really struggling to understand what is the "missing vital information"  that I need to specify on my representation to the Tribunal.  Can you point me in the right direction please ?

Thanks

Riversdale Road contravention is for not obeying the keep left sign. They use this layout as a cheapskate proxy for width restrictions regardless of the size of vehicle but a keep left is a keep left.

Ha yes they could definitely find better ways to do this that don't catch out a large no of car drivers !

Ok fair enough thanks for taking the time to have a look at the videos.

As you know them both and they are local to you any idea what the purpose of that gate setup is as it doesn't seem to be a bus lane
so it's a mystery to me as to what it's for ?

Hi All,

I don't live in London but went there on Sunday 27th July in my car and picked up a friend in North London to go to the Columbia Road flower market.  Unfortunately the following week I received 2 PCN's in the post from different London Councils for this trip.  I have never done ths trip before so was totally unfamiliar with the area.  I just used Google Maps to navigate.

The 1st one on the way there was on Lansdowne Drive in Hackney not far from the market.  I didn't see any restrictions signs although I presume they must have been there.  I was using Google Maps for the journey so clearly it's not known about by maps either or it wouldn't have sent me that way.  From some research it seems that restrictions there were extended to 7 days a week in 2024 and it seems Hackney Council have been making serveral millions of punds from that one road alone.

The 2nd one was on my return journey and was Islington Council on Riversdale Road.  There the road was extremely quiet, few cars around.  I came up to a strange configuration with a wide gap in the middle of the road and extremely narrow gaps to the side.  As the gap to the side looked too narrow and I didn't want to break my wing mirrors I drover through the middle.  Big mistake unfortunately as that is where the camera caught me.  To be honest Istill don't understand what the purpose of this setup is !  I didn't see any signage but from the pictures I can see there are road markings.  For this one I did a search of this site and found someone had successfully appealed a PCN here in 2009 but it appears the road markings were incorrect at the time as they had a painting for a bike in the middle which has since been removed.

So my question is would there be any point in me trying to appeal either of these PCN's and has anyone had any experience with appealing for either of these locations ?
