#1 Received a parking ticket in a pub car park - went to court - what can I do now?

Hi all,A while ago, I got a parking ticket in a pub car park. The rule for the car park was that it could be used if you were using the pub facilities, which I was - I went in to use the toilet, and before doing so, I asked the owner if I could use the facilities, and she said yes. She didn’t mention anything about entering my registration on the pub’s iPad system, which I later found out was required due to getting a parking ticket through my postbox. Alongside this, where it tells you to enter your reg in is not easy to notice whatsoever.I didn’t pay the ticket, and now it’s been escalated to the county court level. I believe I was in the right, since I followed the stated condition of using the pub’s facilities and even got explicit permission from the owner. That said, I’m worried about the impact on my credit score and want to know what my options are now that it's been sent to court. What should I do next? Is there any way to challenge this or explain my case? And how do I prevent this from affecting my credit? Thanks in advance for any advice.
