Private parking tickets / RINGGO- Paid using the wrong reg across two car parks. Help!

This is probably really dumb. Please don’t bash me too much!
We went to the Lake District a couple of weeks ago and we hired a car.
We just received a parking notice about not paying for parking.
It looks like a used our reg instead of the hire car’s reg.
The signal was terrible all across the Lake District and I was getting my pants in a twist trying to use the RingGo app 😪
Not only this but this was across two different car parks!
I’m at a loss here because we did paid £13.5 across both car parks to park there 😕
Has anyone been through this and successfully appealed it?
We also been charged a £35 admin fee from the hire place… we haven’t paid this yet.
I want to kick myself so badly!
Edit- after writing this, I have checked and the car park that we received the notice from is Park with Ease. The other one that we haven’t received anything from yet is handled by the Lake District National Park
