Private parking tickets / Re: UKPA Tickets in Scotland

Hi

Just to follow up on my previous post from back in July I appealed using the previous posters template.  The appeal was rejected as expected.  Further notices have been sent with the amount due increased to £100.  Again these were ignored.

Now a letter from Debt Recovery Plus has arrived threatening legal action if I don't pay what is now a £170 charge. I presume the course of action is to stay the course and continue to ignore?  I just wanted to be sure that the change in legislation expected in 2025 regarding Keeper Liability hasn't come into law yet which might affect my position on this ticket.

Once again, thanks for your help...the people in this forum provide a great public service  :)

PS I was going to attach the letter but can't see an "Attachments" option

Private parking tickets / UKPA Tickets in Scotland

Hi

Having read a few threads on the forum i wanted to confirm my understanding regarding parking charges issued in Scotland by UKPA...

The keeper has received two parking charge Notice to Keeper letters from UKPA for two separate occasions on 7th & 9th July in Livingston, Scotland.  The keeper wasn't driving on either occasion (in fact wasn't even in the vehicle on either occasion).

I understand there is currently no keeper liability in Scotland but does the keeper need to inform UKPA that they weren't driving (obviously not stating who was driving) or can they simply ignore these two notices and all future related communication?

Many thanks for any help you can offer
