Anyone, anything?

Time for paying 50% rate up tomorrow and just not sure what to say regarding the website in NTO appeal if I don't pay, even though i understand what's said in last post reply (thanks H C Anderson)

Is the information given on the council's website regarding the amount to be paid/date etc. covered by the same regulations as the actual pcn?

Has anyone won an appeal on this point?

Hi, can anyone advise how i'd fight this due to them asking for more than is due on their website, at least i think that's the appeal point as i've only a few days left to pay 50% rate.

Thanks.

4
Do you mean the £240 they state on their website?

5
Sorry, yes i'm the registered keeper/DVLA has my details. Are you saying i still have a chance to fight this? Apologies, not clear on what you mean.

6
Their rejection letter is dated 2/10 so i have until 16/10 to pay reduced rate. No NTO received yet.

Thanks for your replies, much appreciated. Guess that must be the reason otherwise makes no sense!

This is all i found on their website, just going to have to pay up.

Appealed the pcn, got refused. But, what I'm finding a bit hard to understand is Westminster's inconsistency on decisions when a fellow poster (Bullit70 on 12th Sept)got a pcn from them in what seems like exactly the same circumstances, used basically same appeal and got the pcn cancelled on 26th Sept. Seems quite unfair given same circumstances for both pcn's, but as Bullit70 hasn't posted their letter cancelling i don't know their reasoning.

Have posted appeal etc. below. I notice that on their website it says pcn at full stage, but still offering discount and it also says it will increase to £240 on 18th Nov. I'm not understanding that part of it either. Is that correct? Is there anything else I can argue or should I just pay up?

All advice very much appreciated.

Civil penalty charge notices (Councils, TFL and so on) / Westminster PCN 12r
« on: September 11, 2025, 10:16:26 am »
Hi all, would be grateful for any help. PCN issued 8/9/25, the driver did park in a residents bay and put a blue disabled badge (which belonged to a friend he was with) on the dash. The driver wasn't aware that the blue badge scheme did not operate in Westminster and the friend also said they didn't realise that was the case as they rarely travelled to that borough. The driver realises that argument is very likely a non starter with Westminster, but just wondered if the four photo's shown on their website fail to show the car parked in contravention as they don't show any sign showing the type of bay or restriction near or away from the car and just show the car that could be parked anywhere really.

Any chance there's a valid point of appeal here?

Thanks.

Any advice at all please?

Back again!

Received this parking charge yesterday (6th May). Was in Northampton attending an event for my church (based in London) then a group of us went to eat at Pizza Hut in this retail park afterwards where we spent between £200-£300. I don't have the receipt as we didn't pay individually and the bill was paid in total by someone else. It was dark when we arrived so i honestly don't recall seeing any signs. I've searched on Google maps but the latest images they have are from 2023 and the signs are really not that clear and I won't be able to drive back there to check it out in person for the foreseeable. So my only hope is if there are any flaws on the parking charge that might make it unenforceable. I would as always be very grateful for any advice.

Private parking tickets / Re: 3 x Parking Eye PCN's
« on: April 14, 2025, 02:49:45 pm »
Hi, hope someone can clarify things for me. Received these two reminders from Parking Eye for 2 of the 3 PCN's posted earlier. I understood i had 14 days from the date the 1st pcn was deemed delivered which i thought was 2 days after the date the pcn was issued to pay the discounted rate. Therefore I thought that the 1st pcn issued on 31/3/25 (del 2/4/25) allowed me until 16th April to pay at the reduced rate, but when I went on the Parking Eye website today it says I owe the full charge of 90.00 for that pcn and then I noticed on the reminder they sent me (below) that it says on the back i have until 13th Apr to pay the reduced rate. This is wrong surely?

The reminder for the 2nd pcn which was issued on 1/4/25 (del 3/4/25) says on the back i have until 14th Apr to pay the reduced rate, but I think i have until 17th Apr. Am I right on both of these or have I got it wrong?

If i am right, what can I do about the full charge they now say is due? Presumably they will change the charge to the full amount for the 2nd pcn tomorrow too.

Any advice appreciated please.

Just received email from POPLA saying the operator has reviewed my appeal and chosen to cancel the parking charge and had withdrawn my appeal.

Thank you for all the help and advice received.
