#1 SPLIT FROM HIJACKED THREAD - Re: TFL: Elspeth road / Mysore road

Hi all,I submitted an appeal for the same PCN issued for a prohibited right turn at the junction of Elspeth Road and Mysore Road and received a rejection. My argument was based on the lack of compliant signage as per the Traffic Signs Manual (Chapter 3, section 4.5.3), which requires a prohibited turn sign to be placed immediately before the junction, normally on the left-hand side. In this case, the only sign is around 50 yards before the turn and isn’t clearly visible at the point where a decision is made, which I believe makes the signage legally insufficient. I also mentioned the possibility of visibility issues, obstructions, or even sticker vandalism, which is quite common around this area. They’ve essentially said the signage is adequate and their discretion won’t be applied. I’d really appreciate your advice on whether it’s worth taking this further to the tribunal or if I should just pay the discounted rate. Thanks in advance for any guidance.
