You could ask PayByPhone why you had an issue which could determine if it was their fault or not.

One tactic that has worked is to pay a dummy session and say you've paid what you should have done but that would have been best in the initial challenge.
Thanks so much for this, however I know it was the app and not my card as I have confirmation of that from my bank.
Perhaps I misunderstood you, but I can't pay a dummy session as it will have the time and date on it.
Thanks though.

I hope I've added all info needed?
What is a GSV link?
Really just want to know if I should just pay this or risk a bigger fine by appealing further?

On 22/5/25 I parked on Beverly Gardens, NW11 at 9.30am - I tried three time to pay by phone - there was a problem with the app and it did not accept my payment even though my card was 100% definitely working as I used that very same card that day in shops. I also phoned my bank to check if there was any problem with my card and they said there was no problem with my card but a problem with the 'merchant'. I appealed and my appeal was rejected. In the rejection letter they literally ignored what I had said and just wrote that I was parked and hadn't paid so my appeal was rejected. (I did not try another card as I had an appointment and would have been late). If I appeal again I risk paying a lot more. Is it worth me appealing again? (I could get a letter from my bank saying there was nothing wrong wtih my card). Has anyone had a similar experience? Any advice greatly appreciated, thank you!
