Hi all. I received a letter before claim from Gladstones Solicitors relating to their client (ES Parking Enforcement). They originally sent the notice to an old address, I hadn’t updated my v5 at the time, in march. Upon receiving this LBC on the 28th I immediately contacted the solicitors and provided evidence that I did in fact purchase a ticket on the said day and the mistake is on their clients side.

They have since replied to this saying “our Client is satisfied that the Charge was issued correctly. Did not display pre paid voucher.”

Not only do I have proof of paying via the pay2park app, they have also sent me a photograph of the sign which clearly says “you can also pay via the pay2park app”.

They are saying that I still need to pay the fine or they will start legal proceedings.

Clearly I do not want to pay this and think it is quite obvious the fault is on their side and not mine.

What steps can I take next? Is court the only option and how likely am I to win?

Any advice on next steps is appreciated.
