I won't be offered a course because it hasn't been 3 years since my last one. Just wanted to know if I have any legs to stand on in regards to recent speed limit changes.

Hi all, Last year I received 3 points on my license for speeding and have now received NIP for another offence, I was driving down a road which is my usual route local to me, this road had a 30mph restriction with a speed camera and I have just noticed it has recently changed to a 20mph restriction (when I received the letter on 13th May). After a quick internet search I can see it was changed to 20mph on the 31st of March. I don't remember seeing any signage leading up to the sign before the camera, but have just started seeing them in the last few days. I drive for a living so the last thing I need is more points on my license. Please can you offer any help, this was an honest mistake, I did not notice the limit had been changed to 20mph nor did I see any flash to know that I had gone over the limit.
