Civil penalty charge notices (Councils, TFL and so on) / Re: Islington - entering a pedestrian zone during restricted times

Yes, there is. This is always the way it works for Amazon. You hire a van for the job from a small company that collaborates with Amazon (there are various such companies, they find the drivers, organize the routes and offer some support that relates to the delivery process) and you are responsible for anything and everything. Even for damages to the van, insurance will only cover damages above 2000 pounds. And both small damages and PCNs can be weekly occurences when you deliver in a city where you're not allowed to park anywhere during the day, and you keep having to constantly reverse and turn around with a large van in tiny streets under constant pressure to finish on time. Meanwhile, Amazon offers no support since you are technically freelancing and you are not an Amazon employee. (I've already stopped doing this job after three months, I find it astonishing how people can keep doing something like this for years, it's horrific in pretty much every way).
Is it for a term less than six months?
The term is flexible, it applies to the period that you have the van for, regardless of duration.
