What are the terms of your rental? Is there a formal hire agreement in place under which you have agreed liability for penalty charge notices?

Yes, there is. This is always the way it works for Amazon. You hire a van for the job from a small company that collaborates with Amazon (there are various such companies, they find the drivers, organize the routes and offer some support that relates to the delivery process) and you are responsible for anything and everything. Even for damages to the van, insurance will only cover damages above 2000 pounds. And both small damages and PCNs can be weekly occurences when you deliver in a city where you're not allowed to park anywhere during the day, and you keep having to constantly reverse and turn around with a large van in tiny streets under constant pressure to finish on time. Meanwhile, Amazon offers no support since you are technically freelancing and you are not an Amazon employee. (I've already stopped doing this job after three months, I find it astonishing how people can keep doing something like this for years, it's horrific in pretty much every way).

Is it for a term less than six months?

The term is flexible, it applies to the period that you have the van for, regardless of duration.

Nope. Pen cuts out the PCN details and we need all of it.

I see. IZ34655267

Okay, now I get it. I think they put the pen there because it's supposed to come to me first, and then I should challenge it. The reason I got access to the whole number is because I got a second PCN in Islington which was just about parking (so I got access to it directly), and when I put the details for that one, I can see both of them listed as they're for the same vehicle.

Anything else you need, please let me know.

Thanks for pointing this out. All done, I think.

Hi, I'm an Amazon Delivery driver and while delivering I entered a school zone, one of those that switch to pedestrian zones at specific times.

PCN number: IZ34655267

I checked my clock and it was 3:14 when I took the turn (the restriction started at 3:15).

Yet I still got a PCN. There's a relevant image attached where you can see I was turning when the time was 3:15.

Once I started taking the turn (when the time was still 3:14), I couldn't really stop, because it could have been dangerous to do so. Do you think I have grounds to appeal this, or have I already lost half a day's work of pay for something this absurd?

Thank you in advance.

Edit:

This wasn't my own van, it's a rented one from a small company. The PCN arrives to the company first, and then they notify me. They can either directly pay it, and I have to pay them, or they can transfer it to my name. At the moment I've asked them to transfer it to me, but I can still challenge it by entering the number and vehicle plates. Since the PCN arrived to them, I don't have access to the other side of it at the moment. They just sent me the photo I attached below.

Gsv link (hope that works)
