Greetings lads,

I am seeking some advice on a parking charge notice I received after 2 months. :-\

The situation: As a keeper, I received this notice on 05/Mar/2025 and it was dated 28/Feb/2025. The notice claims the car overstayed 19 min (enter 17:25, exit 19:15) on 02/Jan/2025. By the way, I live in Scotland where the vehicle is registered. The claimed charge is £100 and £50 if paid within 14 days. It looks like their typical template compared to others I can find online.

The photos: I attached the notice photos here (Pic 1 and 2). I am unable to return to take on-site photos but here's a link to Google Street View of the premise (Pic 3 is a screenshot of it).

I've read some similar posts here and they are incredibly helpful - needless to say this website is a gem.

I just wanted to get more clarifications on what my options are and their risks:

  • Ignore it, as many suggested for keepers in Scotland. Enduring years of debt collector's harassment seems inevitable. What about legal and credit risks?
  • Appeal. What grounds are potentially there? The time of day during winter is pretty dark in England. Or something else?

19 min isn't a ridiculous number and it feels really unfair for such a substantial amount.

Any advice/suggestions will be appreciated!
