Hi,

I hope you are all well.

My wife and I went to watch our granddaughter's sports day in separate vehicles and we both parked on a grass verge where a number of other cars were parked. Upon leaving, my wife and I both had PCNs (see attached photos). There are no signs, no yellow lines, no visible parking restrictions, etc.

Moreover, our PCNs state that the alleged contravention took place in Gaynes Park Road but we were parked in Little Gaynes Lane which is before the junction of Gaynes Park Road, so the location on the PCNs is incorrect.

Evidence:

1.    PCN HG50070944 (my van)

2.    PCN HG50070911 (my wife's car)

3.    Photo of where I parked

4.    Photo of where my wife parked

5.    Google map screenshot of location

6.    Google Map Location - Little Gaynes Lane - https://maps.app.goo.gl/Yd3GRxhr1D8MT7JF7

Based on the above and incorrect location do we have grounds to appeal?

Thank you for any help.

Hi,
I hope you are all well.
On Sunday, 23 February 2025, my wife and I went for a day out in central London. We decided to take the train so drove to our local station, Gidea Park, and parked in a bay outside the main entrance. The signage read: “Mon-Sat, 8:30am-6:30pm, Pay by phone, 01708 201 311 quoting location 41913, Max stay 3 hours, No return within 2 hours”. I assumed that since it was a Sunday, the restrictions did not apply. However, when we returned, I found a Penalty Charge Notice on my van.
I believe I abided by the terms of the parking sign and therefore no infraction occurred. Could someone please advise?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks,
