Your shift was due to end at ***;
You had bought parking rights which expired at ***;

Thanks for your reply

1) doctor
2) 5pm
3) free parking for 3 hours. parked at 0855- therefore needed to move car by 1155
4) asked by a hospital volunteer to see unwell individual around 1100
5) returned to car 1355

Thank you for all replies so far.
The above assumption about the narrative is largely correct, only amendment is that the location I showed on google maps is free parking for those 3 hours.
Usually, I utilise the park and ride facilities, however circumstances on the day were such that I had to come directly to hospital. I occasionally park in the location shown on the google maps link, and have always had the opportunity to move my car within the time frame, apart from in this scenario.

Would be grateful to the team for advice regarding the following:

Parked outside hospital 0855. this area is 3 hour parking. I had the intention to move my car to an appropriate location within 3 hours. Due to encountering an unexpected scenario, I was unable to get to my vehicle before the 3 hours had elapsed. An individual became unwell in the hospital cafe, and standard practice is for the emergency medical team to be called. However, in this circumstance, the individual in question had just attended a speciality clinic attached to my ward of work, and therefore a witness came to my ward to request assistance. I went to assess this gentleman and felt he would be better monitored on the ward. On the ward it became clear he was not well. He had very low blood pressure and required fluids, blood tests and further medical treatment such that he had to be admitted to hospital. Since this was not the standard pathway in which patients are admitted to this ward, I had to discuss with the responsible consultant and the nursing team to ensure that he could be managed appropriately and safely. Making all above arrangements, and handing this individual over to his treating team with a clear plan and completing my documentation was a lengthy process and therefore I was unable to move the vehicle in time.
