Civil penalty charge notices (Councils, TFL and so on) / Re: TfL PCN - Appealed, no response, now Enforcement notice received
« on: February 22, 2025, 05:46:18 pm »
I have prepared the following representation for this, can people criticize please:
I am not mentioning in the formal appeal:
1. their failure to deliver informal appeal rejection properly (see above - their letters go to Gmail spam automatically due to some IT issues on their end)
2. my previous informal appeal where I was trying to explain why I was in the bus lane (can they use this informal appeal against me if I didn't challenge the street name first hand?)
Update:
Checked through appeals registry, the following seems very relevant:

Subject: Formal Challenge to PCN Number XYZ
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to formally challenge the issuance of PCN number XYZ.
I challenge liability for PCN XYZ on the basis that the alleged contravention did not occur.
The location cited in the notice "ELTHAN RD" does not exist in the Transport for London road network.
As such, the premise on which this penalty charge is based is factually incorrect.
In light of the above, I request that you review the details of this case and cancel the PCN accordingly.
I would appreciate a prompt confirmation of the cancellation.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Yours faithfully,
