Hi, I recently received this PCN. This is a side road parallel to Mortlake High Street that many people use when it gets congested. I have been using this road for many years now without issue.
Apparently Richmond council put in place restrictions in September to stop people doing just that:
https://www.richmond.gov.uk/services/roads_and_transport/transport_planning_schemes/transport_schemes/north_worple_way_traffic_reduction_schemeAs I know the roads well, I didn't notice any signs at all of this restriction and went straight through so here we are.
There are no signs on google maps as presumably the images haven't been updated yet. View
here.
I think the sign is the one right next to the bridge. Map of the signs
here. I came down Second Avenue so would only have had one advanced warning sign 120 yards away.
I had a similar thing in Fulham where I wasn't aware of the street restrictions and got a PCN. I asked them nicely to give me a chance which they did. Should I do the same thing here? It's a bit unfair to suddenly put restrictions up and then give people tickets.
Any help appreciated.
