Free Traffic Legal Advice

So basically, I am an international student who goes to university in the UK, I have an authority to park permit for my campus, which has meant that I can park on premises as long as I pay a £2 daily fee, now I came back for my exams in May parked my car and left, I don’t remember the fine maybe I might have missed it but now fast forward 8 months I have gotten mail stating that I am being claimed against in the amount of £221.51 which is ridiculous as this is the first I am hearing and seeing of this, this is the first correspondence I have received, this may be cause I do live in a student accommodation and let’s just say mail handling is all mixed between 500+ students in the building and we share a letterbox. Now I don’t know what to do and am hoping for some sort of help with this anything would be appreciated!
