Good Morning,

I've just received an NIP for going 36mph on a 30mph road
The location of the offence is my usual route to work and I must have been late that morning and thoughtlessly went a tad faster.
With the NIP, there is a separate page of FAQs that state "Return your NIP as soon as possible and you may qualify for a speed awareness course instead of a £100 fine and 3 penalty points or a court appearance" and "You are only eligible for a course if your speed is within the required criteria set out by ACPO"
From this, I have assumed the £100 and 3 points is known as the COFP, (I've not received anything relating to a conditional offer yet so this is just my guess) and it also means there is a chance I can enrol on the speed awareness course.

But I'm confused by the READ FIRST post however because it states:
Under ACPO/NPCC guidelines, enforcement starts at 10% +2mph over the speed limit.
Courses (where applicable) are offered for up to 10% +9mph over the limit.
Perhaps I am misunderstanding what they mean by enforcement.
Does this mean I may be eligible?
I have not attended a course in the last 3 years and the date of NIP is 01/10/25

Just to confirm, I have not filled anything out yet, but have viewed online their camera certificate, uploaded version of NIP, and photographic evidence, which is the rear of the vehicle and did not capture who was driving. And as much as my thoughts "pervert the course of justice! :O", I secretly wish there is a loophole within the Section 172 regarding who was driving.
