I wasn't sure so just wanted to make sure.

Morrisons confirmed they have cancelled the PCN. I'm assuming I don't need to do anything else now, is that right?

Great, thank you. I've contacted Morrisons. Hopefully they cancel the PCN.

I parked at the Morrisons car park in Aylestone Road, Leicester on 8 December 2024. I received a PCN in the post about 10 days later. The maximum stay allowed is 3 hours, I was parked for 2hrs 50 minutes – this is what it says on the signage and on the Morrison's website. I appealed the decision stating that I had not overstayed the maximum period.

Euro car parks has rejected the appeal, stating that because it was a match day, the maximum time period is only 90 minutes. I checked the Morrison's website and it does not state this. They sent an image (see attached) of the signage – on that day I parked, it was dark and the weather was really bad, so it was not easy to read. Although I don't think this would work as a defence. Any advice on whether I should appeal via POPLA.

I've got until 24 Jan to either pay the fine or appeal via POPLA.
