Private parking tickets / Britannia Parking PCN at a Pub

Hi everyone,
I have just received a parking notice from a private company saying that I parked without registering my vehicle at a bar. The car was there for 36 minutes, but I never once left the car park and went inside the pub.
Initially, my plan was to meet up with my friends and have dinner at this place. I had to wait for them for 20 minutes, but once they arrived, we immediately went inside. We probably looked at the menus for about 10 minutes and decided that we wanted to eat somewhere else. As soon as well left the pub, we left the car park.
Now, I know that I parked the car without registering it, but I was never notified of the fact that I needed to register my vehicle.
I wanted to ask this forum if I would have any legs in an appeal here. If not I understand that I made a mistake waiting for so long initially
