Just catching up with this thread.
I haven't yet had a reply to my email sent to LBHF parking Services so I'll send it again plus I'll have to submit the PCN challenge so I don't get walloped with the higher penalty charge.
But it would be really helpful to see the letter/email exchange between CHRIS and the parking team at LBHF as further support for my challenge.
Many thanks in advance.

Hi, I posted on the original thread about being served with a PCN for a "contravention" on 21.12.24.
I found Raj's very helpful information about their experience, so I've sent an email to Parking Services to request that the PCN is revoked as their own website referred to first time contraventions leading to a warning notice and that's clearly what they did for other motorists.
And of course I've also mentioned the completely inadequate/non-existent warnings/ signage on the A4 ahead of the turn into Rivercourt Road.
I'll let you know how I get on.

Hi Raj,
Yes I received a PCN on 4.1.25, not a warning letter.
It's dated 3.1.25, the alleged offence was 21.12.24
I haven't yet responded so I'm wondering if you contacted the LBHF parking services team direct (if so, by phone/email/ who?) or responded using the PCN Grounds for Representations?
Thanks for sharing the email - only the first sentence of their reply appears in the box- is this intentional?
Thanks again - really appreciate your help!

I've just found a LBHF news item on their official website about this new road layout/rule for Rivercourt Road.
"... Anyone travelling along Rivercourt Road from outside the borough without a permit will receive a warning during the first weeks of the trial. Following a grace period of three weeks, they will receive a fine (a Penalty Charge Notice)..."
so surely those of us caught out in Dec/Jan are within their completely woolly and defined "first weeks of the trial"?
And what's the status of a trial like this?
Any thoughts/advice?

I've received a PCN today from LBHF - for taking the left turn into Rivercourt Road just before Christmas.
I've spent years taking this left turn off the A4 but now live outside the area so I had no idea the rules had changed, plus there was no time/distance to read any new road signs placed right at the entrance to the road, plus all the usual heavy traffic on the A4 right behind me would have meant no safe option to change my decision even if I'd been aware of this rule change...
It all seems pretty unfair and I should say that I'm fine with coughing up the PCN fine when it is fair!
I was interested to see that Raj was let off by LBHF as a "first time offender".
Do you have any other info you can share here as I'd be in the same boat?
Many thanks.
