Thanks for the reply. Yes I live in the borough and use the Malden Centre semi-regularly as one of the handful of places I go swimming. I have receipts from previous legitimate parking there I can evidence.

I know for a fact I was only there a matter of minutes. I had a pre-booked swimming session at 3pm which I was definitely running late for (and also have a receipt for). I have OCD and being late causes me a lot of anxiety so I know I can't have been there at 3:01 but can't remember the exact time I arrived. I think with that and the stress of my phone dying I wasn't sure what to do and in the time I asked for advice I got the ticket. No I didn't subsequently pay as I was so angry I just left. I'm on maternity leave at the moment and could barely afford the swimming, let alone this parking ticket. I think he must have been waiting ready to pounce the second I left my car as I saw him camping out by the entrance of the car park as I left.

Received a PCN for the above infraction yesterday at 15:10. On the ticket the observation period states 15:01 to 15:07 however all of the evidential photos they have provided are taken between 15:07 and 15:10, over a period of 3 minutes.

I believe that the consideration period, according to the BPA, should be at least 5 minutes for such a car park, and there is no evidence I was in the car park for any longer than that. In fact I don't believe that I was.

Upon arrival at the car park for a pre-booked swimming session (booked for 15:00 but I was running late so arrived after then, I can't say exactly when) I realised my phone had died on the journey and so I was unable to pay with RingGo. I quickly ran inside the centre to ask for advice, and on returning to my car a few minutes later found the ticket. I saw the parking attendant still in the car park moments away from the car so must have just received it. I do not believe I was in the car park for longer than 5 minutes and there is no evidence provided that I was. Is this grounds for an appeal, and might such an appeal be successful? Thanks.

I have received a PCN and exhausted all levels of appeals so now only have the London Tribunal to rely on, so want to make sure my appeal is worded as well as it can be. I appreciate it may be rejected as the appeal does not strictly fall into any of the categories, but still think it worth a try.

Essentially, I have received a parking tickets for parking outside my own property without a resident's permit within the restricted hours. It is true I do not have a resident's permit, as we have our own private driveway.

However, at the time of the contravention, access to our driveway was blocked by another vehicle. The only non-permit parking at this time of day is a fair walk away from our house. I was on my own, with a young baby, while also pregnant. This meant that I was unable to park anywhere else and carry the baby back home by myself. I therefore parked outside my house while I quickly took the baby inside and placed him securely in his cot so I could then come back outside and move the vehicle. It was during this brief period that I received a parking ticket.

I believe I have grounds to appeal under the equality act, as due to my pregnancy and having a young baby I was unable to park anywhere else at this time. I was as quick as possible and could have only been observed there for a couple of minutes absolute maximum. I also parked literally outside my own house.

I know that technically none of these things matter in the eyes of the law, but as I said I still want to appeal as money is tight and hopefully someone with some sense and compassion will realise this was the only option available to me.

If I could have help with the wording of the appeal and which options to select, I'd be really grateful.

Thanks!

How long was your parking session for?

I did notice that afterwards, however we only parked for 4 hours so were still within the restrictions of both zones. We received the ticket about 5 minutes after parking, annoyingly we even saw the attendants but obviously thought we'd done everything right so walked away before they got to our car. We actually left after about 3 hours so didn't even use the full session.

I have just received a PCN for parking outside Kew Gardens on the street.
When parking, we looked out of the window and saw a sign directly opposite with the details of parking restrictions and a RingGo parking zone number. When I opened the RingGo app, the same parking code showed at the top, so I selected that and paid for our parking.
When we cam e back to the car, we were surprised to see we had been given a ticket. On closer inspection, I realised that the side of the road we were parked on is a different coded zone with one number difference. The prices are exactly the same. The sign for the zone we were actually parked in was about 50 meters down the road, whereas the zone we paid for the sign was directly opposite about three meters away.
How best can I go about appealing this? It seems really unfair as we did the right thing and paid. Ours is the black car in the picture, you can see the sign we used opposite.
