Hi All,

Looking to see if I should appeal the attached contravention.

The car in front stopped on the amber, I had continued with the intention to stop at the red but got stuck behind the white car, i did stop in the box at a point.

This box junction is in a right **** place on top of a crossing which catches people daily especially if you have a dithering car in front.

Question, Pay the PCN or appeal and risk the full charge of £130.

If you are contesting the Penalty, you will not be able to pay the discounted charge if your challenge is unsuccessful. Before submitting any challenge or representations please refer to Havering’s Parking discretionary policy under the heading PCN policy on https://www.havering.gov.uk/parking-2/parking-tickets-traffic-fines/2

This is so wrong! In the past if you contested the penalty and was unsuccessful, you would pay the reduced amount with in a time frame, why has this changed? Cheeky buggers!!!

Good evening,

I have received a PCN for entering a pedestrian zone on my way home from work.








I did not take my usual route home because of an accident, so I used back streets to get home.

I’m not familiar with the route I took home, I got a bit lost and wasn’t aware I’d entered this zone until I got the PCN notice yesterday.

I visited this spot tonight because id not intentionally risk a fine and to take some pictures because  1) where I entered into the zone it was a crossroads where I would have been checking for vehicles left, right and oncoming and 2) I found warning notices in three other roads prior to the restriction warning about the zone and there was not one where I would have entered from.

Is it worth appealing or should i accept I’m unintentionally in the wrong and pay the reduced charge?
