Hi there response received :

I mentioned to charge certificate, and they ignored that point.

Best,

JP

think I found the source of my confusion, one of the signs is covered up by scaffolding. The sign on the opposite side of the road is visible.

(Img pile not working for me today).

The link I sent you should direct you to the first page of the PCN referenced. If there’s any issue with the link I can reupload. Thank you

4
Apologies, I can see what you mean @incadescent. I uploaded images related to two separate PCN’s on the same IMGpile. I tried to upload links, that when I click them take you to the specific documents referenced.
Would it be better if I reuploaded them for clarity?

6
revisited the specific route I took. I was taking a left from the bottom of Pattison road, onto the Finchley Road and then left again. In which case the signage comes in very quickly, which is likely why I missed it. Is this adequate ground for appeal ?

7
Hi there, this is strange wording, but it still relates to parking on a yellow line on hatherley gardens. Perhaps that’s an opportunity to appeal

8
Hi there where have I done that ? Are you referring to the other images that I have uploaded on my imgpile, or the seperate thread I began relating to another PCN.

9
It’s seems very likely that I did miss them unfortunately, I will drive past them next week to double check they’re not currently obscured.
Any technical basis for appeal based on the documents sent?
Thank you again for your reply.

Hi there thanks very much for your reply. Do you think there is a case at all for a technical appeal from the documents sent?

Unfortunately I don’t think I have a leg to stand on legally.

Hi guys, unfortunately I think I may be liable to pay this one. However, I thought it would run it by your expertise. Thank you in advance. No PCN’s in 2025 and then hit with three around Christmas.

I (perhaps foolishly) already appealed this PCN on the basis of compassionate grounds. We had a bereavement in the family which hit us all hard. I  parked very briefly outside a family member house 10-15 minutes max. I was actually very well aware of the parking restrictions, but was a challenging moment and lost my head. Ironically there were unrestricted spaces on the other side of the road. Unsurprisingly Haringey was uninterested in my appeal. I was wondering if this particular PCN would be a losing battle.
I’m couldn’t find the initial correspondence, i will look again. However, here is my latest paperwork, including a rejection letter.

Thanks again for your time and the amazing advice available in this forum.

Civil penalty charge notices (Councils, TFL and so on) / Re: PCN Southwark

I am writing to formally make representations against the above Penalty Charge Notice.
I dispute that the alleged contravention occurred.
The restriction at Rye Lane junction with Copeland Road is not adequately signed so as to give a motorist clear and sufficient advance warning of the prohibition. The signage is easy to miss in moving traffic, particularly at this busy junction, and does not allow a driver reasonable opportunity to safely divert before entering the restricted area.
In addition, the camera enforcement image provided does not demonstrate that the vehicle passed clear, compliant signage positioned in accordance with the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions. I put the council to strict proof that all signage at this location is lawful, correctly positioned, fully visible, and adequately maintained.
Further, I note that under the London Local Authorities and Transport for London Act 2003, enforcement must be suspended while representations are under consideration. Please confirm that no Charge Certificate has been or will be issued during this statutory period.
In light of the above, I request that this Penalty Charge Notice be cancelled. Should the council reject these representations, please treat this letter as a request for the full CCTV footage, the Traffic Management Order for this restriction, and confirmation of signage compliance.
Yours faithfully,

Thank you Hippocrates, I will appeal this PCN today on those grounds. I presume i should keep the wording simple, is there anything I should reference in particular ?

Thank you for your reply, is this ground for appeal? Apologies if this is something I’ve miss understood.

I was looking to appeal the PCN as it was only possible to see the signage at the very last minute, even then I could barely read it.
