Civil penalty charge notices (Councils, TFL and so on) / Re: Sold car, buyer took V5. Now, 9 tickets and 3 NIPs.
« on: September 07, 2024, 11:48:34 am »You haven't actually asked a question, but I imagine it would be "Why?".You've learnt a tough lesson as it seems you didn't follow process and tell DVLA you sold the car and so remove yourself as registered keeper.
But did you get the PCNs? Why has it gone to debt enforcement? The PCNs go to the name and address on the V5C logbook. What was this?
You aren't wrong there, tough lesson.
Also a good question. Simply, since the sale we moved away from where the car was registered. So all correspondence would have gone to the previous address. Now it is at enforcement stage, it was come to where I live.
The answer to which is that debt collectors are expert at tracking down malefactors.
Yes I understand why the situation it as it is with that.
As I said, I am already paying for the 7 but with 2 more arriving today and a dvla fine for no tax I am now, again, attempting to find a solution.
Thank you
