You've learnt a tough lesson as it seems you didn't follow process and tell DVLA you sold the car and so remove yourself as registered keeper.

But did you get the PCNs? Why has it gone to debt enforcement? The PCNs go to the name and address on the V5C logbook. What was this?

You aren't wrong there, tough lesson.

Also a good question. Simply, since the sale we moved away from where the car was registered. So all correspondence would have gone to the previous address. Now it is at enforcement stage, it was come to where I live.
You haven't actually asked a question, but I imagine it would be "Why?".

The answer to which is that debt collectors are expert at tracking down malefactors.

Yes I understand why the situation it as it is with that.

As I said, I am already paying for the 7 but with 2 more arriving today and a dvla fine for no tax I am now, again, attempting to find a solution.

Thank you

Hi! After some help. I sold a car last October and since then I recieved 3 speeding fines which I sorted out with the tickets office. I then recieved 7 parking fines from debt collectors! £1100. I now today recieved a further 2 crossing fines due to nonpayment! £375. About 2 months ago after receiving the 7 fines I contacted the dvla and sent in information to remove myself as the registered keeper. The issue is I have no way of knowing what else will come... as the buyer drives around collecting fines for me.

Is there anything I can do to backdate the ownership? Or anything at all? I can prove the sale and have his details but the debt collectors aren't interested. I allowed my insurance to continue for a few months to collect no claims bonus so there's a chance I had no policy on the car at the time of the offences.

Any help is appreciated... thanks
