Private parking tickets / PCM Parking PCN – Unable to pay at machine – North Middlesex Hospital
« on: August 12, 2024, 10:03:12 pm »Upon leaving the car park, the driver went to pay at the machine. The machine was not accepting card payments only cash. This was on 22nd July when there was a global outage of card payment devices. The driver did not have any cash to pay for the parking. So the driver had no choice but to leave without paying. For some context, the driver had been regularly visiting a relative at the hospital of the course of approximately 5 weeks and had always successfully paid for their parking. On 10th August 2024, I, the registered keeper, received a PCN through the post. Please note the letter is dated 3rd August 2024.
I am asking for advice on if the parking invoice should just be paid or if it would be worth challenging?
Many thanks in advance.
