Hi Folks,
I recently drove my car to UCL Hospital London to collect my daughter after she had major pelvic/ hip surgery where she required a wheelchair and assistance to get home. Public transport was not an option because of zero platform access at Northwick Park underground Station and her restricted mobility.

I never drive into central London as I use public transport and was not aware of “routes restricted to certain vehicles “ on Tottenham Court Road. Unfortunately I have received three penelty notices for driving onto the exact same piece of road and I am expecting at least another three notices over the coming days.

Since the first day of unknowingly driving into the restricted section of Tottenham Court Road, I have driven on that same section at least six times when going back to UCLH for follow up appointments and driving around looking for available parking spaces. The subsequent contraventions were committed before receiving the first penalty notice. I would like to contest these notices as I genuinely made a mistake by not seeing the blue signage.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Warm Regards

Richard
