Please tell us you didn't tell APCOA who was driving at the time? The probable reason no initial Notice to Keeper was received is because the V5C has not been updated since the last change of address. Updating the drivers licence does not automatically update the V5C with the DVLA. You can get that done online now.

Hi, I didn't reveal who the driver was thankfully.  Thank you for taking the time to write the email complaint - much appreciated.  I have sent the email from the keeper of the vehicle  - hopefully they will reply in our favour.

Thanks again.

Private parking tickets / Debt Recovery Plus Heathrow drop off charge APCOA
« on: December 19, 2024, 03:31:40 pm »
Hi,
Please can I have some advice. My mother in law is the registered owner of the car and she received a letter from debt recovery plus regarding an unpaid parking charge for Heathrow drop off.

I am not sure how we forgot to pay the drop off charge but I have checked through my bank statements and emails and I can't find anything.  However, it says on the letter that we have already missed 2 payment deadlines - but my mother in law has only received this letter regarding this.

I contacted APCOA on chat and said what happened and that we didn't get a reminder or PCN from APCOA and they have said to email complaints.  Is this the best way to go forward?

Thank you for any help and advice you can give.

Hi, my brother got a ticket because he didn't pay for parking.  His phone was dead so he couldn't use the app or call up and the machine was out of order - so he couldn't pay with his card for parking.

The parking attendant only observed for one minute - my brother thought he had 10 mins grace.

Because he thought he had 10 mins he asked his friend to charge his phone so he could pay for parking, when he came out he had a ticket on the car.

Does he have any grounds for appeal?

I have attached a picture of the pcn and also the machine which says its out of order.

Thank you for any help or advice you can give

Hi all, please can I have some adviCe for the PCN I received.

I had parked my car in a hurry and when I read the sign I thought it said that no payment between 2-4, even the car in front of me thought the same and just parked.

Anyway, it turns out that between 2-4 you can't pay and only residents can park.

I wasn't the only one that thought the sign was confusing as other people came out and also thought that they could park for free during that time.  There were literally 5 cars with tickets on them.

Do I have a case for appeal, based on the sign being confusing or shall I just pay it now?

I have attached a picture of the sign and also the PCN.

Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
