#6 Bolton Council PCN code 01 parked in restricted street during prescribed hours

Good afternoon I've received a PCN for parking on double yellow lines.The street in question is over the road from my house I've parked there without event most days for the last 10 years the road used to be a through road but was closed off a long time ago and the lines in question I presume were a continuation from the main road to stop parking on the junction.The lines are almost gone but are still visible they end where the pavement cuts through them and there are no signs stating the hours or days etcMy question is what's the best approach to appealing and can I find out anywhere if the restrictions still apply to that areaI'm a bit annoyed and I will take this as far as necessary because I absolutely believe its not validThanks for any advice I've attached photos of the PCN and the street The files are too large so I've just put a photo of the street onWhat three words are gifts.sticks.papers [ Guests cannot view attachments ]
