As expected I am being done for both.
I have now had a conditional offer of fixed penalty for the first offence on the 13/9/24


Been offered a speed awareness course for the second offence on the 14/9/24

I do find it strange that second  offence gets a course and first get points 🤔 as I thought it should be the other way around?

That's what I was thinking of asking, but also thought I would mention that I had managed third  trip on the 17th without getting an NIP, and the fact I live in Wales with a clean licence so don't make a habit of breaking the 20mph limits.

Thanks Bert my last trip was on the 17th the same day first NIP is dated.
So I need to think about sending the two in, any ideas of what i should write asking for clemency or anything that might help my plight.

Thank you, I know it isnt a single offence but thought I had read in the past that you could try asking for discretion, hence asking for help. Still worrying there could be a third NIP in the post from 17th to go with 13th and 14th as if I messed up twice the odds are I did on third trip too.

What do you mean by that?

What were the alleged speeds?

Thanks for the reply, on the back it says "Devon and Cornwall Police are comitted to reducing our carbon footprint. As such we have reduced the volume of this letter by 50% and no longer include the notice to be posted back, we encourage everyone to use the online portal.
We appreciate that not everyone will be able to use this facility and if you still require the return by post version this will be automatically sent to you after 10 days if no portal response is received."


I thought sending it by post would be better as I could send the two together along with a letter?


On the 13/9 they say 27mph and on the 14/9 they say 25mph.

Help please, I had to travel to Plymouth which sadly turned into three trips, then the following week I received two NIP's one for the Friday and one for the Saturday, I have been waiting for one to arrive for the following Tuesday 🙄 as I can't see how I missed it being a 20 mph zone.

I live in Wales so used to 20 mph I have to hold the van in second as being semi-auto it jumps 2nd to 3rd back to 2nd as it's not happy to use 3rd. I have a clean licence but am wondering would it be possible to see these as one offence, as if I had been stopped by an officer I wouldn't have made the same mistake the next day 🤔 really am annoyed with myself and my sat nav always tells me if I am breaking the speedlimit, and I was relying on sat nav trying to find my way as they changed where I was going each day.
What is my best course of action, they are supposed to be sending a paper NIP at ten days which I thought would be better than doing it online 🤔
