Thank you to everyone who replied to my original post & all the helpful advice & information that was provided.

Big thank you also to cp8759 for your assistance & patience in dealing with this TfL PCN.

TfL decided to cancel the PCN due to an administrative error.

Yes that is the restriction I was attempting to circumvent.

Interesting to know if there is a ‘technical’ appeal argument with relation to the PCN.

Good morning Stamfordman,

I was attempting to defeat the no right turn.

Previously the road markings & signage clearly stated that only buses could do the right turn at the junction of Prince of Wales Road/Stratheden Road, onto Shooters Hill Road.

So it was a common practice to crossover the junction & traffic permitting, turn right slightly further down on Stratheden Road, into the slip lane that exits onto Shooters Hill Road.

Google Street View location below I think shows the junction before the cctv cameras were installed.

Does anyone know if there is any relevant grounds to challenge this PCN?

Rather not pay the £160 (£80 if paid within 14 days).

Hi Incandescent,

I left the bay I was parked in, which was directly outside AL-AZIZ hair dressers shop, drove a little further up Church Road, carried out a u-turn & drove back down Church Road, before turning right onto Second Avenue.

Received a PCN from Newham Council for contravention 32d - Failing to proceed in the direction shown by the arrow on a blue sign.

Attended a funeral reception & on leaving the venue, didn’t realise that the roads I was travelling on are subject to a one way system.

What I want to know is whether there is any defence I can use to challenge the PCN at tribunal?
