#2 Camden Council - Contravention Code 01, overstaying with a blue badge
on 17 Jan, 2024 15:50 in Civil penalty charge notices (Councils, TFL and so on)
PCN was issued, everything seems in order in terms of writing and the place it was issued. But, I wanted to know has the CEO used the correct contravention code? As according to the (London Counciles) Civil Enforcement Officers Handbook V2, "Where a Blue Badge holder is permitted to park on a yellow line for a specifed period of time and stays for longer than this period, code 30 should be issued rather than code 01"Was parked on a single yellow line with no kerb dashes with the blue badge clearly on display alongside the timer clock. The blue badge is placed within a lockable holder which includes the timer clock. Overstayed by an hour but, the CEO did not take a picture of the timer clock, only of the blue badge. But, in the other images its clear from a far you can see the timer clock and bb displayed on the dashboard. So, the CEO did not take an image of the time set on the clock and has not stated it on the PCN. Is it worth to appeal under the wrong code was used and just state do not agree the contravention took place. Will try to upload images later.
