Civil penalty charge notices (Councils, TFL and so on) / ISLINGTON 50 R (Hornsey Road into Fairbridge Road)

Hello all,
I received a 50R right-turn PCN from Islington Council, but I'm questioning the legitimacy of the no-right-turn restriction. It seems totally random. There is no bus/cycle lane, crossing of any kind, one-way system, traffic lights, or unusual flow of traffic (single lane in each direction). Yet, they're randomly penalising people for turning right. The no-right sign is in line with the road, which I'd argue is late! I know I'm chancing my mit here, but is there anything to argue about the legitimacy of the sign?
Many thanks in advance!
Ed
