Tyne Tunnel "Notice of Court Action"
« on: »
I have a "Notice of Court Action" letter from TT2 Limited (Tyne Tunnel) for 3 unpaid journeys.

On the first unpaid Journey there website would not allow me to pay for the passage on time. When I clicked pay for passage it simply did not direct me to any relevent page.

I documented this on video (see 0:06 clicking the big green button):

I sent them this video and they simply denied any issue:

From your correspondence, you kindly informed us that: 'I experienced technical difficulties paying'.
We have been unable to identify any technical difficulties with our alternative payment options below that
would have impacted the ability to pay within the required timeframe.
Please be advised we have an experienced customer service team in place to assist with any difficulties paying
the toll, had contact been made whilst still within the payment window we could have assisted.
If you choose to use the Tyne Tunnels in the future, you can pay by using one of the following methods:
- TT2 Website
- TT2 App
- IVR Payment line (Open 24hrs)
- At a Pay Point store
As there were also no funds in your account, we were unable to take payment.

On the other 2 journeys I simply forgot to pay on time until the day after the deadline.

Any advise on how to proceed?

This is not a criminal offence and needs moving elsewhere (not sure where).

I've moved it to the council forum as it relates to a statutory penalty.
