Good idea.

We're thinking to just take this one on the chin.
Saying that, we've still not received the written Notice of Rejection since the rejection date of the 8th. It obviously tells me that it was rejected on the PCN portal, but I'm assuming this doesn't constitute a "written NoR". I did receive the written notice for their request of further information in the post so it's not like they don't have the right address.

From what I can tell, if the NoR isn't received a statutory declaration would be the next step. Is this an avenue I might want to go down?

I haven't looked closely at your cases but I can say that TFL doesn't contest a lot of appeals.

Phoned them up again as we've still not received the written NoR even though the discount period ends on the 22nd; They were able to tell me that the vehicle was apparently added to quick management on the 31st of March (even though I searched for and couldn't see it), and then to autopay by me on the 16th of June, when I realised it wasn't actually added. They then explained the bits I already know, about either paying or taking it to tribunal...

I'm left with more questions than answers but have no more energy to deal with this, thank you everyone for your input and I hope TFL put the money to good use! :)

Can't quite let this one go lol...I've noticed that under the appeal section (on CC at least) it says:

If your appeal is successful you will receive a decision from the tribunal outlining that your appeal has been 'allowed'. This means that either we have reconsidered the evidence and now decided not to contest the appeal or that the adjudicator has considered the facts and found in your favour.
This will mean that you may no longer be liable for the PCN, and if you paid the PCN the money paid will be refunded.

Does that mean one can pay the discounted price of £90 per fine and still continue with the appeal, on the offchance it will be refunded?

It does seem an odd statement, because the principle of the whole of the various decriminalised parking and traffic schemes, is that payment of the PCN closes the process, and an appeal to adjudicators is barred. However, there may be circumstances where it can take place, but you'll have to wait for others to enlighten you (and me !!)
