Hi there,

I would be grateful to receive guidance on how to deal with this PCN for stopping in a yellow box junction. We are not 100% how to initiate a representation and how detailed and legalese our representation needs to be.

It is not clear to us that the photographs supplied as evidence make the case that the driver entered the box junction and stopped in it because of the presence of a stationary vehicle on the other side of the box.

We wold gratefully receive guidance on how to phrase our representation. The due date for making a representation is 27 June 2024.

Here is a copy of the PCN

Here are the photos

And here is a link to Google maps

Many thanks for any help you can provide.

The evidence is moving traffic cases is the video. So telephone TfL and ask them to send out to you the video (TfL use DVDs) and to put the PCN on hold whilst they do so.  Ehen you have it post a link to copy here.

Thank you John.

Ordered the DVD and PCN on hold. Will post it as soon as I receive it.

Thanks again,

bmm

TfL only suspend the process for 2 weeks, so mark this in your diary, and contact them if you haven't received it.

Thanks Incandescent. The Tfl call handler mentioned calling them after 14 days if the video evidence hadn't turned up by then. It's in my diary!!

I recommend submitting a Subject Access Request (SAR) via email, as this will typically put the ticket on hold for a month. You can find a draft for the email in my post. This process might give you additional time to gather any necessary information or documentation. I wish you the very best in getting this ticket cancelled. Thanks!

Thank you cp8759,

I found the form and I am in the process of sending it now.

Thanks again,

I received the DVD and was confronted with the evidence that our vehicle entered the yellow box without a clear escape route and eventually was forced to stop partly withing the box. Paid the fine and we'll be more careful around those yellow boxes!

Thanks for all the helpful contributions on this chat.
