Redbridge yellow box junction
« on: »
I recently received a Penalty Charge Notice from Redbridge Council for allegedly stopping in a yellow box junction. However, the still image provided with the notice does not appear to be accurate. The photo shows my vehicle within the box, but in reality I was positioned a few feet away on the line of the junction.
I have two questions:
1: Is the ticket legally valid if the evidence provided is not a true reflection of where my vehicle was?

2: If the evidence is inaccurate, is there a formal way to raise a complaint or challenge this, as it could otherwise be considered misleading or even deceptive.

without sight of the video it's not possible to give advice.
the video is the ONLY evidence of contravention, a photo is useless.
ask them for the video and post it here.

I've watched the video and there is no offence here. You do stop marginally in the box junction, but then move forward again and clear it without the vehicle in front of you making any further space. Therefore your exit was sufficiently clear at the point of entry and no contravention committed.

Here's the video for those who haven't seen it:

I have done similar cases at the tribunal. Happy to be your representative.

The council is inept which is to their profit.
I help you pro bono (for free). I now ask that a £40 donation is made to the North London Hospice before I take over your case. I have an 85% success rate across 2,000 PCNs but some PCNs can't be beaten and I will tell you if your case looks hopeless before asking you to donate.

The contravention is "having to stop due to the presence of stationary vehicles". In the video you stop, but them after very short pause, move forward out of the box, with the vehicle ahead remaining stopped, so it is plainly obvious that you did not have to stop.

However, don't expect Redbridge to roll-over and cancel, because all they want is your money.
