REDBRIDGE PCN
« on: »
Dear members.

I don't know what's going on but I seem to be getting tickets left right and centre. The latest was today- see photo.
I parked in a bay according to the CEO designated for people with permits - contravention code 16.
As a blue badge holder I thought I can park in these bays so I parked there correctly displaying the time on my clock.
I read that there is a 5 minute observation window which woukd need to be applied which according to the ticket was not observed.
Can someone please help in challenging this ticket.

Thanks in advance....

Hashim

There is no legal requirement for an observation period

A Blue Badge is not a permit. You need to look at the conditions of use for your BB to see where you can and can't park.

most but not all permit bays allow BB use but that is dependent on the TMO member CP should be able to get this if he does not already have it

Redbridge allow BB use in residents bays but not business or doctor bays.

Are you sure you were in a resident bay?

Not much more to be said, then.

As I said on facebook, your options are to pay now, or make a plea for discretion (basically just asking them to be nice and let you off) and hope that they do or that they mess up the process.

For a blue badge holder councils tend to be quite forgiving, so I suggest you give it a go. Post a draft on here before sending it.
