Hello!
Code 53J: Failing to comply with a restriction on vehicles entering a pedestrian zone. From my point of view it was an emergency and the sat nav missguided me, I saw the sign but it was too late to pick another route.
My wife was at the GP in the morning with strong abdominal pain (around 9am) then around 3pm she was feeling unwell and called me to come home from work as she was in strong pain and was worried she may collapse. Problem is she didnt want to go to hospital till Sunday (so 2 days later I can have my first proof with a paper from A&E I highly doubt anybody will even consider this as a legit explanation even though they referred her for a procedure and gave here sick note from hospital for 2 weeks but all of that happened the next week. (She at GP on friday morning, Offence on friday afternoon, first a&e on sunday, second a&e sunday/monday night)
Second thing is my satnav guided me via that road as I was not very familiar with the neighborhood as I work in different spots every 1/2 weeks. Another thing is I noticed the sign when it was too late. You can see the whole roundabout was clogged so there was no other way to go then forward.
I am almost sure that appealing and trying to justify this as emergency use is highly unlikely to work. Do I have any other options in this situation? I have a lot of things going on around my wife's health and I dont really want to deal with this right now alone. Obviously I would like to avoid paying it as I just feel its just an unfair way to farm money. I am not an native speaker as well so would appreciate any help with creating a proper appeal if it makes any sense in doing so. Thank you
