Ilford town centre PCN
« on: »
Hi All, received PCN in Ilford town centre red route, i paid for 6081227 with RinGo , i was 100% that is the location as this is what it came on my ringo where it did say ilford town centre and did not check the road sign. I should have paid for 6081221, they are both very similar on ringo one is Ilford red route and the 2nd is Ilford Town red route, both roads are literally  next to each other is so annoying.

I appealed it and sent them the RinGO proof of payment for 6081227 but they rejected.

What’s my next steps? Do i have any grounds?

Welcome to FTLA!
We need to see more information.
Was this a pcn affixed to vehicle or postal?

For guidance on posting images please to have a read of
https://www.ftla.uk/civil-penalty-charge-notices-(councils-tfl-and-so-on)/read-this-first-before-posting-your-case!-this-section-is-for-council-tfl-dartme/

and post here all sides of the PCN (only redact yr name & address from documents  - leave all else in),.
a copy of your reps to Tfl,
a copy of your challenge,
a copy of their rejection,
any TfL photos/video,
and a GSV link to the location.

This is annoying but you admit you didn't look at the bay sign.

This is Redbridge not TFL (Redbridge has its own red route, but that's another story).

You haven't posted the PCN - is it for not paying, and how long did you 'pay' for as the first hour is free.

Their rejection refers to the session being invalid for the location, but that probably isn't the alleged contravention.

Their letter is quite disgraceful, because it basically states that a contravention occurred, so the PCN will be enforced regardless, which is totally against the Statutory Guidance. The council have lost no money whatsoever, and here they have failed to consider the representations.

However, to take the matter further will require the OP forego the discount, although the council may re-offer it if they reject reps against a Notice to Owner.
