Hello,

I've received a PCN for entering a road within restricted time, I have taken the turn, (realised that I potentially didn't get the times right, because of my chronic condition I often have a brain fog) then stopped for sometime and continued going since I thought it's was too late anyway, I think I just generically followed a vehicle in front of me. I have driven by since and the signage is pretty clear.

I was hoping this could be challenged, any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Did you turn right into Chestnut Drive, or turn left ?  GSV is out-of-date for this restriction, being last updated on April 2019. For a left turn into the street, one woould expect an advance warning sign to be present, because if one is not forewarned, it is too late once the turn is commenced. For a right-turn it's not such a problem as the signs can be seen before starting the turn.

So, are there any advance warning signs ?

Yes, Its a fairly recent restriction, I turned left and yes advance warning sign is in place.

Can you get us some photos of the advance warning signs please?

In the meantime I'll get hold of the traffic order.

I also have a short video, let me know if it may be helpful, the sign seems to be hidden under the tree from a distance.

I have to say, having now seen the advance warning sign, that you're likely to struggle overturning this PCN.

Let's see this video you've made.

Having now seen the video, I am more certain than I was that you will struggle to overturn this PCN. The advance sign is a correctly formatted advance warning sign of a restriction at the next turning on the  left.

Well, I will try to appeal and see how it goes. Thanks

If you haven't made representations already, please don't and instead put your video somewhere I can easily download it.

If you've already challenged, please show us what you've sent.
