Hello all,
New to the forum and need some help. I'm relatively a new driver in UK and as fate may have it, recently I bypassed a 2 m road width restriction sign and drove through the middle striped section. I was not sure if my car would fit through it. Fearing either the side poles would damage the car or I'll get hit by someone from behind if I stop or go slow, I drove through the middle striped section.I wasn't sure if I could take a U turn either.
I recently received a PCN from Harrow Council for contravention "38L - FAILING TO COMPLY WITH A SIGN INDICATING THAT VEHICULAR TRAFFIC MUST PASS TO THE SPECIFIED SIDE OF THE SIGN - MUST PASS TO THE LEFT".
I know it's a long shot but my question is, is it possible to challenge the PCN stating that a
Tesla Model Y width (with mirrors unfolded) is a little over 2 m (2129 mm to be precise) and I would have damaged the car had I gone through the restriction? Please suggest. Appreciate any help in this regard.
I've attached the PCN. Location :
