Help!

Received 2 x 52Js (failing to comply with a prohibition on certain types of vehicles) at Holmesdale Rd junction with Oliver Grove SE25. Both dated same day and 3 hours apart.

I entered and exited the restricted area which seems to be one section of Holmesdale Road, parked 50 yards past it (still on Holmesdale Road), watched Crystal Palace beat Manchester Utd, then returned the same way I came through the restricted area. 1 x notice for entering/exiting the zone on the way to the match and one for entering & exiting the zone on the way home.

Looks like I'm banged to rights on entering the restricted area but it seems very harsh that I'm being penalised twice for the same trip.

Are there grounds to appeal one of the penalty notices?

Best and thanks,

Did you not realise what the "Flying Motorbike" sign meant ?

On the face of it, both PCNs would seem to have been correctly issued, so your only argument is mitigation. I would submit reps against the 2nd PCN on the lines that having entered the street, it is unfair to penalise you for exiting it. You'll need to mention the 1st PCN and it's times.

I didn't notice the sign, too busy looking for a parking space....
Thanks for the suggestion.

@Amesy any particular reason why you paid CR20145814?

I think I'm banged to rights on the one I have paid for one based on the signage and, as per the the earlier advice, I have appealed the second penalty notice as being two fines for effectively the same offence.

If you get a rejection please post up both the notive of rejection and your representations.
