This location shows how critical it is to be aware of the solid appeal grounds. One or two adjudicators are still not getting this one but most are it seems.

it seems that Newham now have a bot on their representations page that advises you to pay up or admit you don't understand the road signs !!

And a big Well Done from me too !!

The way this restriction is signed is really quite disgraceful, and the council have cunningly not put in any advance signage to indicate there is a timed restriction. For me, this totally fails their duty under Regulation 18 of The Local Authorities’ Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996

This council are vultures, essentially.

Well done! Justice has prevailed.
Yes, it certainly has, but the dark heart of the matter is that Newham just thumb their noses at the adjudicators, by never turning up and continuing to enforce the restriction. The law on this sort of thing is so totally inadequate it needs serious reform. If an adjudicator says the signage is inadequate, what is the process that prevents a council from enforcing ? There appears to be nothing at all.

I just hope when the time comes they find places in Charon's boat. You can see him and his boat on the Michelangelo painting of the Day of Judgement in the Sistime Chapel in the Vatican.
