PCN - TfL - YBJ Code 31 - Battersea Bridge Rd / Westbridge Rd Yellow Box

Hi all,
Thanks for setting up this amazing site.

We got a PCN today from TfL for a Yellow box infringement in Battersea.

On the paper records it is hard to make anything out. The lower image appears not to show the car. Online it is a bit clearer.

What are the potential grounds of the appeal?
  • Was it at 8:52 or earlier
  • Is it clearly the same car that causes the contravention (eg entering a blocked junction)

I assume I need the video to prove this? Is it best to call, do I need to say something specific, or not say something specific?

We are away from next Tuesday until the Sunday 9th. 14 days from the 19th is the 3rd, even 14 days from the 26th does not give us much time when we are back to upload the video (I have read they will send a DVD).

Given timescales above, it is worth appealing?
When should I request the video? Tuesday?

Please post all sides of the PCN, redacting oinly yr.name & address (leave everything else in), also a GSV link to the location.

The video is the evidence. Phone TfL and ask rgem to send you the video and place the PCN on hold whilst they do so.

What I was asking is when should I request the video to maximise the time I have on my return to deal with the issue as I will be away.

PCN dated 19thNov = day 1 so the discount period expires on 2nd.Dec.
You go away on  Tuesday 26th?

When you order the DVD the PCN should be placed on hold for 14days.
When on hold the enforcement process (including, AFAIK, the discount period - others will confirm) is paused until taken off-hold, whereupon the process resumes.

Tou can check the process status at the TfL site.
Sometimes DVDs take longer to arrive so you must keep checking the TfL site.

Yes go away this Tues until 10th Dec.
Yes, agree that current 14 days expires whilst we are away, hence the timing question.

Thanks, based on what you say, if the 14 days just not just reset on the day you order DVD, but pauses until you receive it, then it is likely we get more time, so I think I will order on Monday or Tues.
I was worried that even ordering on Monday would not be enough, as the 14 days would again expire pretty much on our return.
