Hi @Incandescent
Sorry about that, I thought you said I should wait for others to contribute. In terms of representation, the council has taken my first communication as the initial representation (when I asked for a camera shot showing my car and sign), so if I write in now it will be appealing their decision. Is it still worth doing this?
If they don't accept it will I have to pay the full amount?
Thank you

Please post their letter but it will probably tell you that you can either pay or register an appeal at London Tribunals. The full PCN penalty is always payable if you lose there.

Sorry nobody else has contributed, but we are all busy people, and I think a lot of people go on holiday after August is over as it's cheaper. FWIW, I don't think you have a strong case on the signage.

Ok thank you. I posted the letter in my previous message, it's on this link, but please let me know if you can't access it so I can do it again. https://imgur.com/a/GIyHUzM Thank you. I appreciate your time and understand that it's a busy time for you all.

Having looked at their reply, they admit that the CCTV footage doesn't show the signs you allegedly ignored. You could, of course, add this to any appeal you might submit to London Tribunals, but it's not a certain win. Their letter re-offers the discount, so you might consider this as your best option.

Ok thank you so much.
I really appreciate that. Also if there is anywhere I can contribute to ensure you all can continue to provide free advice, please let me know.
Thank you.

The offered discount has expired - NOR dated 28 Aug, presumed served Mon. 1 Sept, 14th day beginning on 1 Sept. was yesterday, 14th - but the website might still state £80.

OP, if not then it's a no-brainer to appeal e.g. how could the authority be certain of the visibility and orientation of the signs on the day in question etc. in fact, why don't they suggest other sources of this evidence e.g. checked by CEOs daily etc?

Thank you. I checked the website and the reduced amount is valid until 17th Sept so I will pay the amount this time.
I do feel the signs are not positioned in the ideal place for drivers to see it but I also don't want to risk losing and having to pay £160 as I understand I don't have a strong case to win. I appreciate your response though. Thank you very much.
