What do you think could be an issue with PCN?

I think we've had a go at these Brick Lane PCNs - at this location you can't turn left as it's no entry and looking ahead you do see directional arrows pointing forward.

So you have to turn right but it's not obvious and it applies only on certian times at Sat/Sun.

I haven't checked the PCN.

Hi Stamfordman,

Thank you for your reply. I am not sure if there is any technical issues with the PCN, which is why I hoped for some pointers here.

I certainly agree with you that the road markings etc do not make it clear at all, so if you do miss the signs (which I obviously did) then there isn't anything else to indicate the road has severely restricted access.

I'm not expecting to be able to successfully challenge the PCN but thought I'd at least ask/try.

Thank you for embedding the video clip by the way.

Many thanks!

I'll have a look at any tribunal cases later. There are two such zones in Brick Lane. There is a possible case on sign conflict and having to take in times but you should be driving very slowly there.

Thank you Stamfordman, that would be very much appreciated.

Hi all,

Does anyone else have any suggestions regarding my PCN please? I have 7 more days before the discounted amount expires.

Many thanks!

I looked at tribunal cases and only found one appeal that was won but the adjudicator got confused about the layout thinking Brick Lane is two-way (it isn't) and there was no room for a u-turn.

All others refused so on balance unless someone sees something else I'd say pay discount but you can make reps and they may muck up the response to give us something.

Hey Stamfordman,

Thanks for your reply, is it true that if I make a representation whether this is accepted or rejected they will reoffer me the discounted amount?

If they will reoffer it, please could you point me to a template, if there is one, that I can tailor to make my representation?

Thanks very much!

We don't do templates. I presume TH will reoffer the discount but not sure as some councils are changing their strategy.
See if someone else has views.
